Modern Wedding with Urban Vibes in Downtown Spokane

Disco balls! I am not kidding when I tell you that one of the very first things Molly informed me was a must-have at her wedding was disco balls over the dance floor. Immediately, I was in! And I have the perfect person who, at the time, had just acquired a ton of disco balls for her rental company. Tell me more about your vision, Molly. She then proceeded to tell me about the urban wedding of her dreams that entailed a black and white, modern color scheme with pops of jewel toned colored florals ending with a huge dance party. Alright, girl, let’s do it! All I could think was… this is going to be fun, and boy oh boy, was it such a blast! THEN I got the photos back from Amy and started swooning all over again, like I was when Molly was simply describing her vision to me. To see everything come to life and then to, again, see all the special moments captured in time forever… this is why we, in the wedding industry, do what we do!!

Molly and Anthony are the fun, laid-back kind of couple to work with. They wanted the day to look elegant, but more importantly they wanted their friends and family to have a good time. Molly did a great job planning and organizing her wedding vision, but if something happened or needed to be changed on the big day, she just wanted me to handle it – exactly what I am hired for! Luckily, other than running a little long with the photos (let’s be honest, when does that NOT happen), everything on their wedding day was perfect. Even the weather pleasantly surprised us. Leading up to June 11th, the weather apps were predicting an almost 100% chance of rain. No problem – we were planning an indoor wedding and reception, but I was praying for a break in the clouds because who doesn’t love some good downtown outdoor photos. WELL, what the weather people did not tell us was that it was going to be in the 70s and beautiful all the way up until about 6pm when it started pouring rain just in time for dinner and everyone to sit down with their delicious plates of food. I don’t know what weather Gods they impressed, but well done, Molly & Anthony!

So many fun details were included in Molly & Anthony’s wedding to make sure it was unique to them. From the disco balls to the giant cut out of their dog Maisy to the killer choregraphed father/daughter dance. Enjoying a whole wedding party walk from the hotel to the wedding venue and wandering through the streets of downtown Spokane – like what?! Then seeing all the guests dancing their little heart outs on the dance floor until the last possible second. The smile on Molly’s face was one of pure, genuine joy throughout the entire day. Everyone was simply there to celebrate these two beautiful people and it showed. What an extremely fun group of family and friends! Let’s do it again next year, yeah?

It was such a privilege to part of this gorgeous wedding day! I seriously cannot get over these photos. I had a hard time choosing my favorites to include in this blog because I literally saved over 100 photos from their gallery. But I believe these collages give you a good overview and small look into what a special day June 11th was to this crowd of people! Couldn’t have done it without this amazing group of vendors…
